Goode Partners is please to announce that it has purchased a minority ownership interest in Lacrosse Unlimited, Inc. Based in Hauppauge, NY, Lacrosse Unlimited is the largest specialty retailer of lacrosse equipment, apparel and accessories in the United States, operating 30 retail stores in eight states. Additionally, the Company operates an e-commerce platform (www.lacrosseunlimited.com) and a team sales division.
Lacrosse Unlimited was founded by Joseph, Mike, and Sam DeSimone and is committed to becoming the most recognized retailer in the category and the authority on the sport. The Company opened five stores in 2011 and has opened three stores thus far in 2012.
Since forming the partnership, Lacrosse Unlimited and Goode Partners have moved aggressively to implement their strategic plan. In this regard, the Company has made several additions to its senior management team. Brian Jusas has joined the Company as its Chief Operating Officer. Brian was the founder and CEO of Clintrak Pharmaceutical Services, LLC which he grew to over $40 million in revenues prior to its sale to Fisher Scientific. In addition, John Farrugia has joined the company as Vice President of Store Operations, a position he previously held at Harbor Freight Tools following several years at the Gap, Inc.
Leveraging these key additions and other newly implemented operational initiatives, the Company expects to significantly accelerate new unit expansion and improve operational performance while maintaining the Company's local, neighborhood store authenticity and commitment to being the go-to authority on the sport of Lacrosse.
